Kathua Rape Case activist Talib Hussain Arrested Today

Jammu: Asifa Rape and Murder Case whistleblower advocate Talib Hussain has been arrested today on alleged attempted rape charges on a local woman.

According to the FIR filed with the Samba Police Station, on July 31st, Talib has been booked under several sections including Arms Act.

According to the FIR, the alleged victim is a resident of Chairawa Mansar and around one and a half months ago she went to Chadwa village to graze her cattles. It was then when a person named Talib Hussain who was her relative met her in the forest. According to the victim, Talib was armed with Tokka and had an intention to rape. According to the victim, Talib allegedly thrashed her to the ground. She raised a hue and cry and got herself forcibly released from his clutches.
Allegedly, Talib threatened of dire consequences if she told it to anybody.

Now the question arises why the lady took  one and a half month to lodge the complaint.  Moreover, why was arrest made in such a hurry that too without investigation into the matter.

It is worthwhile to mention here that the alleged victim has said that Talib was her distant relative. Several of the community opine that when he attempted the rape why did'nt she told it to the other relatives as Bakarwal community lives in a close proximity to each other and have their chaupals on a regular basis outside their homes.

What made her to lodge the FIR after one and a half month? did something transpired in between?

Many in the community also opine that this is just a fall out of Talib's massive campaign against the criminals in the Asifa rape and murder case. He has been arrested as he raised his voice against the powerful politicians in the state. This is just a fall out.
