New Delhi: How can be a current employee in BPCL, taking a salary from the public sector company be an active member of Bhartiya Janata Party?
Several eyebrows have been raised in the way BJP 'gifted' its membership to famed badminton star Saina Nehwal a few days ago. After the event Nehwal said to media channels that she supports the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and wants to serve the people as a politician.
But one thing both BJP and Nehwal forgot that she was still an employee of BPCL as Chief Manager Sports and drawing a salary from the Public Sector Company.
According to rules, which are mostly put on shelves these days, an employee of BPCL cannot become a member of any political party.
